This is so much more than a career to me.

I’ve been so incredibly blessed to live the life I have. I have worked all over the world, from Siberia to North Sumatra to New York City and everywhere in between. I’ve had billboards on 4 continents, worked on massive international campaigns, experienced the most diverse cultures, produced and directed films in remote corners of the planet, and all before the age of 40.

I’ve always loved the story telling nature of photography, and really believe a perfect image can change the world. I was very lucky to learn photography as a child in the age of film, and I’ve now been a full time photographer for 17 years. I can genuinely say I love what I do.

In the last two years, while the world was reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the decision to make the most of my diary suddenly being empty. I built up an overlanding 4x4, sold everything that didn’t fit in the car, and drove all around Southern Africa telling conservation stories and exploring this amazing continent. I managed to persuade my beautiful girlfriend to join me, and we spent 22 months on the road, covering 42 000km’s (more than the distance around the world), and having a truly once in a lifetime experience. I created a YouTube channel and produced 50 episodes while on the road getting 260 000 views and 28 000 hours of watch time at the time of writing. More importantly we helped raise ten’s of thousands of dollars in funding for rhino and Pangolin conservation projects! I learnt so much, and can proudly say I came out of the pandemic a better, more focused, more driven and more worldy person than I was before. If you want to see what we got up to, please take a look at www.LostinAfrica.tv or the YouTube channel.

With the world seemingly opening up again, and me itching to get back to work, we’ve taken the decision to put down some roots, but this time in beautiful Cape Town. We’ve both lived here in the past, and I am really excited to sink myself into the industry and culture and hopefully tell some beautiful relevant stories.

I bring a unique level of experience to the table, with so many years of working as a top professional, the perspective I’ve gained from being so well travelled, and still being young enough to be relevant in this crazy modern world.

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” Ansel Adams
